Join us to Hold Travelers Insurance Company Accountab le 5/15!
Join CCAG & the Insure Our Future Campaign at the May 15th Travelers AGM at the Marriott in downtown Hartford!
Travelers is one of the top fossil fuel insurers in the world. It is time they are held accountable for their investing and underwriting policies. The shareholder meeting will start at 9am, and we have a number of folks who will be inside speaking in favor of our campaign demands. The rest of us will gather in front of the Marriott/Convention Center which is at 200 Columbus Ave around 9:30am. We will wait until the meeting has finished and then begin our rally as the shareholders exit the meeting. We want to greet them with the reality of their investments, and hear from the folks inside. This is a PEACEFUL, non-disruptive protest. Please RSVP today and we will be in touch with further information and instructions. Let's make sure Travelers shareholders and C Suite know they must Insure Our Future NOT fossil fuels! |
Solutions are in reach! As scientists and recent events make clear, the climate emergency is NOW.
CCAG , the Sierra Club and allies are calling on legislators to ramp up efficiency measures and keep Connecticut's climate promise. There is no time to lose in stopping the use and production of fossil fuels and transitioning to a clean energy economy. Fortunately, solutions are within reach. And while Connecticut has made some progress, much remains to be done. Download our new report and call to action here . |

This is an exciting opportunity for Immanuel, and we hope their sanctuary is filled to capacity to hear Bishop Barber’s powerful message of “Challenge and Hope.” Bishop Barber is a preacher, social activist, author and sought-after public speaker who became nationally known for his leadership with the Moral Monday movement in North Carolina.
