Health Care Can't Wait: Connecticut Activists Visit Washington D.C.

On June 25, 2009 thousands of citizens from all across the U.S. came together at the nation's capital with a single message for Congress: "Health Care Can't Wait!"

On the BusPeople from Connecticut Health Care for America Now! (HCAN) groups including CCAG, CT State AFL-CIO, AFSCME, healthcare4every1, Organizing for CT, Planned Parenthood of CT, SEIU, United Action of CT, rode buses from Connecticut to Washington D.C. to participate in the largest health care lobby and rally day in American history.

In addition to meeting with Connecticut Congresspersons and Senators (or their designated staff members), we attended a Connecticut Health Care Town Hall meeting that was attended by Congressman Joe Courtney and Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro.
